I would redo 2021 if I could. That was very bad year for me, I made bad financial choices, bad career choices. A four-year relationship ended, and I was following a path that wasn’t meant for me.
First off, I would have ended that four-year relationship much sooner. I wasn’t happy in it, and I knew he didn’t want to be with me, I don’t think he even liked me. Ending it sooner would have saved me a lot of time, and I probably be would have been happier and more confident.
Next, I would have never tried to go for a career in the medical field. I don’t know why I thought being a nurse was a good idea; I never wanted to be one. I guess I was thinking about what career would make me the most money, plus, my ex’s mother would constantly talk about his ex, who was a nursing student, and I thought what I was doing wasn’t good enough. I left my job in manufacturing to go to nursing school, take a phlebotomy class, got hired at a retirement home and everything collapsed. Looking back, I’m glad it didn’t work out, I think I would have been miserable in that field. Luckily, I was able to get my old job back.
2021 was an insane year for me but I learned many lessons. I think the biggest one was not allowing another person to make me feel like I’m not good enough, it leads to bad choices.
